With Sebastian Vettel back on form for the European Grand Prix, and McLaren struggling for pace, it fell to Ferrari to challenge Red Bull for the win. Fernando Alonso put on a good show for his home fans, but ultimately the victory was Vettel’s for the taking. Alguersuari finished in the top ten, making the best of a two-stop strategy, whilst an extra pit stop for Schumacher for a new nose saw him way down the order.
