The Intercontinental Rally Championship has started with the first stage in Monte Carlo. The Monte Carlo rally is probably the most famous rally in the world and one of the most difficult. Taking place over three days, it combines fast mountain roads with ever-changing weather conditions. Usually the rally is run on snow-covered roads but this year it started on tarmac stages with no snow. Monte Carlo Rally 2011 winner Bryan Bouffier.
